87th annual MAVFC Carnival, July 21 - 26, 2014. It is poised to be another exciting and fun filled event.

Rides will be provided again this year by Rosedale Amusements. The advanced sale ride night tickets will be sold until noon on Sunday July 20 unless they sell out sooner. There are a limited number of these tickets available.

The usual food delights will be on hand all week including hot french fries, ice cold soft drinks, lemonade, tender juicy pit beef, pit ham, and pit turkey sandwiches, rib eye steak sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Italian sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, golden funnel cakes, fried chicken, country ham sandwiches, chicken livers, crab cakes, clam strips, fresh baked pies, and much more. Games for all ages are on hand all week long. There will be musical entertainment each night, including our popular Karaoke Contest on Wednesday. The Gala Firemen’s Parade will take place on Thursday evening promptly at 7:00 p.m., and of course what would the carnival be without Allen Brown and Friends on Friday evening? The Gigantic Fireworks display will go off on Saturday night to draw the week to a close, along with the drawings for the $5000 in cash prizes.

The Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company invites everyone to come out for fun filled evenings for the whole family while you support your local fire, rescue and emergency medical services providers. Please come out and support the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company, and have a great time doing it!! This year, due to insurance requirements, items may not be thrown from moving vehicles in the parade line. Items such as candy, key chains, gum, beads, necklaces, etc. are included. All parade entries must be in advance. ALL commercial and candidate entries must pay an entry fee of $25. The parade will run from the Mount Airy Elementary School down Main Street to Park Avenue to the Carnival Grounds.

Buffet dinners are held in the air conditioned Activities Building from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. each evening. The dinner menu is subject to change without prior notice. This dinner is prepared and served by Olde Town Catering. Below is the entertainment schedule and Buffet Dinner menus for the week.
