Downtown Facade Program
Thank you for your interest in the Mount Airy Downtown Facade Program!
Review the Procedural Guidelines packet. You have the option of filling out the Facade Application Form without the attachments and bringing in a sketch plan of the project to Town Hall for a pre-application review prior to submitting the full application. Please contact Program Administrator, Melissa Thorn at mthorn@mountairymd.org for information about the program.
Pre-Application review is not required, but recommended to ensure that projects are worthy of approval from the State of Maryland.
Complete the full Facade Application Form below, with all of the appropriate attachments, detailed in the Procedural Guidelines packet. Submit the completed form and attachments to:

Attachments: (i) a letter of intent, (ii) proof of ownership or written permission from the owner of the property, (iii) pictures of the building before project commences, (iv) site plan, (v) elevation and drawings of proposal, (vi) specifications of brochures of type of materials to be used, and (vii) copy of detailed quote.

Maintenance Improvements Agreement
Eligibility: Owners of existing businesses, either business properties or business tenants, with landowner approval, located in the Sustainable Community designated target area are eligible to apply for program grants. One grant is allowed per business per year.
