  3. Longest Night Service

    December 17, 2017, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Calvary UMC

In this season of gift buying, card writing, decorating and cooking we all feel some kind of stress. Most of us can handle it but there are some folks for whom the Christmas season is particularly difficult. Some have lost a loved one, a job, a house. There are too many losses to list which can weigh on our hearts, especially at this time of the year. The Stephen Ministries of Calvary United Methodist Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church are joining together to offer a safe place for anyone who is having a hard time coping with the holidays. During their Longest Night Service on Sunday, December 17, at 4:00PM, you can come and hear soothing music and an uplifting message. Activities in the Sanctuary allow each person to remember and memorialize their special concern. We will have a balloon liftoff at the end of the service followed by an opportunity for light refreshments and fellowship.
