5:30 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony - Plaza 116 South Main Street, Musical Entertainment provided by local children’s groups. The tree will be lighted by a local child assisted by the Mayor.

7:00 p.m. Twinkling Santa Parade - sponsored by the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company, Mount Airy Main Street Association, and the Town of Mount Airy, featuring horses, bands, dancers, and over 50 floats. The last unit in the parade are the trucks from Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company, with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the end!
