Rail Yard Corn Hole Competition

| $10It’s October, and time for the Mount Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA) annual Sanctioned Corn Hole Tournament, to be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Railyard at 3 North Main Street, Mount Airy.
The popular event will feature outstanding Corn Hole competition, toe-tapping, dance-along, and sing-along music by Rick Hill, and traditional Oktoberfest sausage and sauerkraut, cider, hot dogs, and other delicious goodies provided by Cryin’ Johnnies.
Plenty of straw bale seating will be available to enjoy the food, the music, or to cheer on your favorite competitor. The Oktoberfest Beer Garden will feature Spaten, wine and other beer selections. The Beer Garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Teams can register on-line at mountairymainstreet.org. Register before the event and space $10. Or, register beginning at 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
Every competitor will receive a free t-shirt. The prize for the winning team is $500 cash . The second place team members will each receive a $250 car detailing gift certificate.
In addition to the sanctioned competition, additional CornHole boards will be available for casual play. Free activities for kids will be provided, including hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, jump ropes and bubbles. MAMSA invites you to join us for a fun day supporting our downtown merchants. The competition is sponsored again this year by Mt. Airy Liquors and Century Ford.
