Main Street Christmas is on Saturday, Dec 7, 2013! The streets will be closed to traffic from 4 to 8pm.

5 p.m. Tree Lighting Ceremony - Plaza 116 S. Main Street. Musical entertainment provided by local children’s groups. Tree will be lighted by a local child assisted by the Mayor.

5:30 p.m. Holiday Music: Mt. Airy Middle School Chorus, South Carroll High School, Mount Airy Middle School Bands.

7 p.m. Twinkling Santa Parade: sponsored by the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company, featuring horses, bands, dancers, and over 20 floats, all decorated with twinkling lights. The last unit in the parade are the trucks from Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company, with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the last truck.

Visit with Santa following the parade, at the Firehouse Pottery & Arts - 116 South Main Street. Mail your letters to Santa at Say It! Graphics, just next to Firehouse Pottery & Arts.

8 p.m. Holiday Concert: Mt. Airy Arts Alliance in Town Hall

This event is presented by the Mount Airy Main Street Association, the Town of Mount Airy, and the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company. All activities are free and open to all. For questions call (301) 829-1424.
