Board of Supervisors of Elections Meeting

THE MOUNT AIRY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS MEETING ON JANUARY 13, 2017.

The Mount Airy Board of Supervisors of Elections and appropriate Town staff will meet at the Mount Airy Town Hall, 110 S. Main Street, Mount Airy, on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. to elect chairperson and work on the upcoming election. The public is welcome to attend.

The Board of Supervisors of Elections shall convene a citizens’ nomination meeting on the second Monday of March 2017 for the purpose of opening nominations for elective Town office. Nominations shall remain open until the Board of Supervisors of Elections’ meeting on the third Monday of March, 2017 at which time the Board shall accept additional nominations from the floor and accept nominations submitted during the open nomination period. The office of Mayor and two council seats will be up for election.

The Mayor’s position and two Town Council positions will be up for election.

The Town Election will be Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Co. Activities Building on Twin Arch Rd.
