On Saturday, May 7, the Mount Airy Lions Club is hosting the 30th Annual Clyde F Gibson fishing derby at Prospect Park, 107 Prospect Road in Mount Airy. This event is for children ages 2 to 15. Registration begins at 7:30a. Fishing is from 8:30a until 10a. The event is free and it is a rain or shine event. Participants need to bring everything they need to catch fish. There will be a raffle for the participants at the end of the event. For more information, visit www.mtairylions.com Serving the local community since 1940.
