The Mount Airy Special Election for Mayor will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Department Reception Hall located at 1008 Twin Arch Road, Mount Airy. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Town Hall is located at 110 South Main Street, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. FORMS MUST BE RETURNED BEFORE THE CLOSE OF THE POLLS AT 8PM AT 1008 TWIN ARCH ROAD, MT. AIRY, MD 21771.

The Mount Airy Board of Supervisors of Elections will announce the results of the Mount Airy Special Election for Mayor on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 9:30 p.m. at the Mount Airy Fire Company’s Reception Hall located at 1008 Twin Arch Road, Mount Airy. This announcement will be broadcast live at https://www.facebook.com/TownofMountAiry/ and on local Channel 23. It can also be viewed live at www.carrollmediacenter.org.

Shop. Make a purchase of at least $25 at a Mount Airy small business on from November 1, 2021 - December 5, 2021 and Save Your Receipt.
Upload. Upload your receipt to our online submission form page or drop off at Town Hall's drop box by December 7th at 4:30 PM.
Win. Winner will be drawn on Friday, December 10th at 10:00 AM, and will be LIVE on Facebook on the Town of Mount Airy Facebook page.

Prize is $4,500 in cash sponsored by the Town of Mount Airy plus $500 worth of gift cards sponsored by the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce.

November and December Food Drive for Mt. Airy Net

Let's all come together to fill the pantry at Mt. Airy Net during the months of November AND December!!! Drop off locations will be at Town Hall, 110 South Main Street, Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and the Mount Airy Police Station, 205 Center Street, Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You can also drop off directly at the Mt. Airy Net, 1402 N. Main Street, inside of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Their hours are Tuesday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Mt. Airy Net has a great page on their website to share what donations will be accepted. Mt. Airy Net is a 501 (c)(3). 100% of your donation will go directly to the work of reaching those in need in the Mt. Airy Region.

Shop and Dine Thru the Decades

November 6, 2021 on Historic Main Street during regular business hours, businesses will be displaying their favorite decade. Come down to shop, dine and enjoy the sounds of the decades!

Jingle & Mingle all the Way to Main Street

November 12th and December 17th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. will be extra festive in Historic Downtown Mount Airy. Live musical performances will be scattered about to get you in the holiday spirit! First come, first serve night for Carriage Rides at the Train Station, 1 North Main Street. Many of the shops will be open for you to browse and think about each person on your gift-giving list!

Menorah Lighting on 1st Night of Hanukkah

We are gathering at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28th to light our Town Menorah again this year! Please join us at the Train Station, 1 N. Main Street. We will have a special ceremony. All are welcome!

Celebrate Mount Airy Ornament Series

Call to reserve your ornaments today and come by to pick them up for $20 each. Cash or check written to Town of Mount Airy. You can also purchase them at the Mt. Airy Museum on the weekends. They accept cards.

Shop Small Passport Program

Similar to our Shop Small Contest, is the Shop Small Passport Program. Obtain a passport at a business downtown then follow the directions! Take time to look at the Passport list of participating business and see ALL that Carroll County has to offer with EIGHT (8) different Main Street shopping experiences!!!

Make any 8 purchases (each at different businesses) during this 8-day period for a chance to win one of TWENTY $50 gift certificates, good at ANY of the participating businesses!
Turn in your completed passport to any Library or Town Hall location by Tuesday, December 7 for a chance to win!
