Join the friendly staff of the Town of Mount Airy Community Development Department as they embark on a monthly broadcast to share progress on various town initiatives and dig deeper into the lives of the individuals and organizations that make up this special community of Mount Airy!

The show titled, i ❤ Mount Airy, will be live streamed beginning July 29.

The genesis of this new show was the Super Saturday Virtual Event this past May, which was an 8-hour live stream on Facebook, showcasing a ton of Mount Airy businesses with guest appearances interviewed by a gracious staff host, Ashley Collier. Super Saturday highlighted community initiatives and how businesses have adapted during the global Covid-19 pandemic. The time is now to harness the safety of technology in the promotion of the entire four county community.

Supporting local business is even more important now than ever! Many of the businesses have already adapted to online business models. The Town hopes to uncover the many ways the community is responding to this very real societal change. Staff’s production of i ❤Mount Airy may come as an introduction to some who aren’t as connected to the community, but for others it will be a great tool to keep “in the know”.

On the last Wednesday of the month, when the show is planned for regular release of new episodes, listeners can expect to hear regular segments on community development, town history, spotlights on the community and a kid-friendly feature.
