The Building a Brighter Future Small Business Grant Program is for incoming or existing businesses. These are businesses that are operating out of a commercial space within the Town of Mount Airy municipal limits.

The Town will begin accepting applications on Friday, October 1, 2021. Applications will be collected for an entire month and checked for completeness. Staff will work with the applicant to get a complete package, as necessary, then a review will be performed by the Community Development Department on the final business day of each month until all program funds are expended or June 30, 2022, when the funds will expire.
Example of Deadline:
Applications Accepted October 1 - 28th. Staff will begin a review on Friday, October 29, and follow up with any questions. Applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the end of this month. Applications turned in on October 29 will be considered for the next month.
Applications Accepted October 29 - November 29th. Staff will begin a review on Tuesday, November 30. Applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the end of this month. Applications turned in on November 30 will be considered for the next month.
