So proud of our Town! As the incorporated portion of Mount Airy falls between the counties of Carroll and Frederick, we continue to respect the positions of both counties on whether to follow the Governor’s orders or remain conservative with respect to the continuation of a phased approach to reopening. After careful consideration of several factors, we have made a decision to allow our restaurants to take full advantage of the governors new 75% opening status effective today! Our unique geographic location allows separation from more populated areas but our ability to safely reopen is credited to the diligence of our residents and businesses in maintaining social distancing and the wearing of masks. The Town Council, Emergency Response Team, front line workers, neighbors and I thank you all for continuing to care for your fellow community members by adhering to CDC recommendations to prevent community spread of the Covid-19 Virus.
