The Mount Airy Board of Supervisors of Elections and Town staff will meet via Zoom on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to swear in the Election Board, elect a Chairperson and work on the upcoming election. The Board of Supervisors of Elections shall convene a citizens' nomination meeting on the second Monday of March 2021 for the purpose of opening nominations for elective Town office. Nominations shall remain open until the Board of Supervisors of Elections meeting on the third Monday of March 2021 at which time the Board shall accept additional nominations from the floor and accept nominations submitted during the open nomination period. The office of Mayor and two council seats will be up for election. The Town Election will be Monday, May 3, 2021.
