  1. Art Gallery

    January 12, 2019, All Day @ Town Hall

    An Art Gallery will open in Town Hall on Saturday, January 12th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with an opening concert by the jazz duo, Stolen Moments. Light refreshments will be provided. The Gallery will remain open during Town Hall normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Art featured by Katherine L. Peterson and Steve D'Amato. Katherine is an artist specializing in illustration and portraiture. She studied at Corcoran School of Art, the National Portrait Gallery and holds a Bachelors in Fine Art from Maryland Institute College of Art. Steve has been painting for about 45 years. Many painting techniques were learned from an art teacher in a small group setting many years ago. More recently, I have been broadening my skills at The Stone Branch School of Art in Rockville, Maryland during the winter months.

    CHRISTMAS TREE / YARD WASTE Christmas trees and/or yard waste will be collected from the curb on Saturday, January 12, 2019 All Christmas trees and/or yard waste must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. the day of collection Yard waste must be in biodegradable paper bags (NO PLASTIC BAGS). Trash cans and other containers will not be accepted for collection ACCEPTABLE YARD WASTE Yard trimmings Grass clippings Hedge and garden clippings Tree prunings Leaves Brush Branches cut in three foot lengths and no more than three inches in diameter tied in bundles UNACCEPTABLE YARD WASTE Root balls Dirt Sod Rocks Branches larger than three feet long or three inches in diameter or not tied in bundles
